Our Story

With a background in costuming for theatre, I’ve always loved creating pieces that tell a story. That passion took on new meaning when my twin niece and nephew were born. I began sewing tiny clothes and costumes for them right from the beginning, including themed costume sets each Halloween, focusing on soft fabrics and simple designs that would be gentle enough for newborns.

Five years later, I now had a second set of twin nephews and all four of the kids had dubbed me "Baba". The pandemic had wrecked havoc on the world of professional theatre, and I was ready to launch my ideas into the store that became Baba's Playhouse.
